送愛到斯里蘭卡 後續報導

  

協助斯里蘭卡海嘯災後重建計畫

　　民國93年12月26日南亞發生大海嘯，數以萬計的居民受到海嘯侵襲，屋毀人亡，妻離子散。

　　本會基於佛陀慈悲的本懷，發揮「無緣大慈，同體大悲」的信念，積極發起勸募、救災活動，在災後數日，即94年1月4日，由執行長會宗長老帶領醫師、護理人員及志工前往斯里蘭卡災區救援，深受斯里蘭卡政府官員的肯定與災民的敬重。（相關報導請見本刊第34期〈送愛到斯里蘭卡〉專題企畫）

　　醫療團隊回國後，本會持續與災區重建負責人帝須長老聯繫，計畫在斯里蘭卡Tissamaharama地區建立一所醫療站，以期妥善運用十方大德所捐助之善款，不違信施之期望。

　　為使捐款者充分了解聯繫進展情形，特將斯里蘭卡帝須長老評估醫療站之需要後寫給會宗長老的回覆函刊登於後。信函以英文寫成，為方便讀者，特刊出中英文對照。在七月下旬收到此一回函後，會宗長老立即委請本會醫療顧問，署立基隆醫院李懋華院長評估並擬定相關計畫，預定於8月中旬提出，再召開會議討論。務必使捐款者的愛心獲得最實惠的效益，利益斯里蘭卡居民。後續進行情形，本刊亦將繼續追蹤報導。

Establishment Of A Tsunami Effected Medical Treatment

Unit At Tissamaharama Rajamaha Viharaya

在海嘯災區帝須大精舍建立醫療站

Thank you very much for your letter dated 27 May 2005. We wish to inform you the following basic requirements for the establishment of a medical treatment unit attached to our temple:

非常謝謝你5月27日的來信。對於建立一所隸屬在寺院裡的醫療站，我們希望提出以下基本的需求：

1) A building consists of three units:

建築物由三個單位組成：

     a) The first medical unit treats diseases such as Ague and Dengue fever, snack biting etc.

    第一個醫療單位用來治療像是瘧疾、登革熱和毒蛇咬傷等疾病

     b)The second unit is to treat Drug addition such as Heroin, Hashes, Ganja, Abing etc.

    第二個單位治療例如海洛因、哈希什、大麻、abing等毒癮

     c) The Third unit consists of a Treatment Hall, hostels for patients, dinning room, kitchen, store

     room, clinic room and other rooms such as visiting doctors, blood bank, eye clinic, E.N.T. etc.

    第三個單位包含治療室、病房、飯廳、廚房、儲藏室、門診室和其他像是醫師諮詢

    室、血庫、眼科和耳鼻喉科等

2) Equipment consists of Saline stands, Blood pressure apparatus, Oxygen cylinders,

     ophthalmoscopes, ambulance-bags of different sizes, nebulizers, a E.C.G. monitor etc.

    設備包含點滴架、血壓計、氧氣筒、檢眼鏡、不同尺寸的ambulance-bags、噴霧器、心

    電圖監視器等

3) other facilities, such as hospital beds, matters (mattress), tables, wheel chairs, bed sheet

     cupboards etc.

    其他設備像是病床、床墊、桌子、輪椅、床單櫥櫃等

4) An ambulance

    一台救護車

Since the temple is situated about 2 km away from the Tissamaharama Hospital the devotees as well as the villagers would definitely benefit the service of an ambulance. Therefore we would be very grateful to you if you could include an ambulance into the above list.

由於本寺距離Tissamaharama省醫院約有2公里的距離，一台救護車必會讓居士和村民們受益；因此如果你能提供一台救護車含括在上述的需求中我們將非常感激。

This is just our primary proposal regarding this medical treatment unit. What we can do subject to your donation. If the money is enough for this plan, we can build it according to this plan. Otherwise, we can re-plan it according to your donation.

這只是我們對於建立醫療站的一些建議，如何做還是以你的捐款為主。如果資金夠的話我們可以依照這個提議，不然就以資金的多寡重新計畫。

I have no doubt that this type of medical unit and its service would definitely bring a number of benefits to the poor villagers, devotees who come from other parts of the country and foreigners alike.

我相信這個醫療站的建立也將為其他地區的貧窮村民、佛教徒，甚至是外國人帶來一些的利益。
